El Medio Almud
A great dive which has it all, large sandy patches where Rays and Angel Shark can be spotted, a plateau of volcanic rock which sits about 1.5m on the sand, which has an over hang that protects its many inhabitants, such as Moray Eels, Canarian Lobster and on occasion large Porcupine Puffer fish. This plateau covers a large area with many holes and cracks providing sanctuary to a multitude of tiny marine life. And as a bonus: a small wreck called “Armando Theodoro”, she was sunk some years ago to enhance the reef and provides shelter to Rays and File Fish. Depending on current and air we sometimes continue eastward from the wreck where the topography changes and strange pinnacles and smooth overhangs are the result of the lava flows hitting the ocean and cooling to these beautiful shapes.

Arguineguin Reef
The reef runs lengthways from east to west for almost 700m with a deep over hang which is home to the rare and elusive Porcupine or large Puffer Fish, measuring up to one meter in length. Many species of moray inhabit the reef along with shoals of Roncadors and Sardine. The overhang provides protection for Sting and Common Brown Rays and also colourful Anemones and Cleaner Shrimp inviting passers by to pop in. A favorite for Turtle and Amberjacks, this dive is both relaxing and exhilarating.

Russian Wreck
This wreck is a hydrofoil from the Russian Meteor series that sank in late 2003. A storm blew in November as the ferry was preparing to cross the Atlantic, the ferry broke its moorings and floundered on the rocks in Arguineguin harbor, sustaining serious damage to the stern, The owner barley had time to get her out of the harbor and around the corner from the cement factory at El Pajar before she sank. It has been deteriorated by the currents and storms but has become home to a diverse and abundant selection of marine life. Sitting in 18m depth, this 30m long wreck is spread out flat on the sandy bottom and makes for a very interesting dive. Large shoals of Barracuda and Roncadore hover over the wreck, with Common Sting Ray, Butterfly Ray and Angel Shark sitting in the surrounding sand.
